Screen

P40 Pro S20 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and Huawei P40 Pro have a screen with good quality. But it must be admitted, the S20 Ultra screen is much better and satisfied. Because the screen size of 6.9 is made of a panel called Dynamic AMOLED 2.0.

The panel is the latest generation of screens that were previously used on the Galaxy S20 Series. Combined with high resolution, precisely 2K or QHD +, touch latency 2 times faster than the S10 Series, HDR10 + technology, and refreshed rate up to 120 Hz.

Huawei P40 Pro brings a 6.58-inch screen with a resolution of 1200p or 1200 x 2640 pixels. The screen has been supported by a series of technologies, such as DCI-P3, HDR10, and support refresh rate 90 Hz.

Performance

P40 Pro S20 Ultra

Second smartphone this is powered by high-end specifications, even though it actually has a different SoC or processor. Huawei P40 Pro uses Kirin 990 5G (7nm +) which is supported by the Mali-G76 MP16 GPU. Combined with 8GB RAM, storage 256GB UFS 3.0, and 4,200 mAh battery capacity with support fast charging 40W.

While the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, powered by an Exynos 990 processor with a fabrication of the 7nm + process. Also supported with the chip Mali G77 MP11 graphics processing, 12GB RAM LPDDR5, storage 128GB UFS 3.0, and 5,000 mAH battery capacity with support fast charging 45W.

Now, to find out the comparative performance of the two devices, we use three applications benchmark, i.e. AnTuTu Benchmark version 8, 3DMark and PCMark.

The three benchmark applications represent different needs. AnTuTu Benchmark for performance smartphone overall, 3DMark is for knowing GPU performance, while PCMark is for knowing how performance smartphone when used for work, multitasking, and so on.

AnTuTu Benchmark

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra excels in AnTuTu Benchmark testing. Powered by Exynos 990 (7nm +), the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is able to record a score of 516,437 points, quite far compared to the Huawei P40 Pro with Kirin 990 (7nm +) which scores 505,241 points.

Exynos 990 seems to be still better in CPU, UX and RAM performance than the Kirin 990 which is carried on the P40 Pro. But the numbers both only have a very minimal difference.

3DMark

Again, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is far superior to the Huawei P40 Pro in terms of graphics capabilities. These results are fairly reasonable, because the Kirin 990 used by P40 Pro uses the Mali-G76 MP16 GPU which is a precursor to the Mali-G77 MP11 GPU used on the Exynos 990.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra recorded a score of 8,123 points for Sling Shot and 6,776 points for Sling Shot Extreme OpenGL ES 3.1 and 6,345 points for Sling Shot Extreme Vulkan.

Whereas the Huawei P40 Pro received a score of 6,640 points for the Sling Shot, then 6,054 points for the Sling Shot Extreme OpenGL ES 3.1 and 5,642 points for the Sling Shot Extreme Vulkan test.

PCMark

In this test, the P40 Pro is actually superior to the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Based on PCMark testing, smartphone it excels in everyday use, like browsing, editing photos and videos, chat to access social media, until multitasking.

Huawei P40 Pro recorded a score of 11,401 points. While the S20 Ultra scored 10,381 points. However, both are referred to as PCMark smartphone with the highest performance now.

Battery

When talking about battery capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has a larger battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. Smartphone it also supports fast charging with the output a maximum of 45W, even though Samsung only includes charger 25W only in the purchase package.

Huawei and Samsung seem to have a different perspective in terms of features gaming. Samsung, with the Galaxy S20 Ultra series carries features gaming which is complete. Differing 180 degrees from Huawei through the P40 Pro which only pinned features gaming just ordinary.

S20 Ultra features Game Launcher and Game Booster Plus features. While the P40 Pro, enough with the GameAssistant feature only.

Game Booster Plus on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has a variety of options that allow users to adjust performance smartphone automatically or manually.
