Jakarta, Cellular.ID – The market share of smartband in the country is not evenly distributed as in the European and other Asian markets. This is an opportunity for various vendors from China to seize the market.
There are many smartband vendors, one of which is Xiaomi and Honor. Two vendors from the Bamboo Curtain country have introduced their smartband variants in several countries.
Honor Indonesia has inaugurated its newest smartband in Jakarta (09/25), a smart bracelet that has many features that will soon be marketed in the country in the near future.
But Xiaomi, with the smart bracelet Mi Band 4, has not yet officially opened its product in Indonesia. It is known, Mi Band 4 apparently already has quite a number of enthusiasts even though the item has not officially rolled in the country.
Amidst the rise of Mi Band users, HONOR Band 5, which is a newcomer, is quite competitive by presenting the SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Level) feature and the many types of sports that can be tracked.
Of the two smartband with affordable prices above, it seems feasible to be compared, because all three have almost the same specifications, but with a variety of different features.
Honor Band 5 vs. Mi Band 4
Almost all smartband has standard features such as heart rate monitor, step counter, monitor user's health, and others. However, Honor Band 5 offers features that are rarely found on affordable smartband, namely the SpO2 feature (measuring blood oxygen levels) and the many variations of sports to track.
The battery life of the Mi Band 4 device is claimed to last longer than Honor Band 5. The device made by a vendor dominated by orange is strong for up to 20 days. But still, battery consumption depends on how it is used.
- HONOR Band 5 Supports 10 Types of Sports, Mi Band 4 6 Types
Each smartband has a feature to measure the user's sporting activities. This feature can help users to find out the results of the workout they have done.
Both Mi band 4 and Honor band 5 both have workout features. The difference, Mi Band 4 only presents six types of types, while Honor Bands 5 to 10 types. Some sports supported by Honor Band 5 include: Outdoor Running, Indoor Running, Outdoor Walking, Indoor Cycling, Swimming Pool, Free Training, Indoor Walking, Rowing Machine, and Eliptical Machine. With complete types of sports supported, Honor Band 5 is suitable for lovers of various types of sports.
2. Feature of SP02 (Blood Oxygen Level) in HONOR Band 5
Knowing oxygen levels in the blood is very beneficial for the user's health. Reporting from various sources, if the oxygen level in the blood shows below 80 mmHg (low), it will experience hypoxia. Hypoxia is a condition where oxygen levels in the blood are low and will disrupt the normal functioning of the body.
Smart bracelet made by Honor can measure oxygen levels contained in the blood. Whereas Mi Band is only limited to measuring the user's heart rate.
That way, users will increasingly know the level of oxygen in the blood when using an Honor Band 5 smart bracelet.
3. HONOR Band 5 Can Be Charged Without Removing Strap
Honor Band 5 offers convenience in charging the battery. Users only need to remove the smartband from the wrist, then place it on a special deck to charge the battery.
Unlike Xiaomi smart wristbands, which have to take the tracker off the strap and place it on the charger.
This convenience provides more value because the user does not have to bother to remove the strap, and also to avoid the strap being lost or tucked.
4. Mi Band 4 Larger Battery
In the battery sector, the Mi Band 4 is powered by 135 mAh while the Honor Band 5 is 100 mAh. Honor band battery life is 5 to 14 days, while Mi Band is 4 to 20 days.
But talking about charging, this Honor smartband takes an hour to fully charge. While Mi Band 4 takes 1 hour and 20 minutes from 0% to 100%.
